How to Increase Website Traffic

Just to reiterate you should have a niche idea that you want to focus on and a product or service you want to promote in that niche. You should have purchased a domain name and setup web hosting for your website already.

At this point you should have built your website whether that’s an eCommerce website or a sales page. While there are a lot of platforms you can use such as CS-Cart for a shopping cart or WordPress for a sales page; for the sake of moving forward I’ll skip this process as I know what you really care about is how to generate tons of traffic for your website.

Specifically TARGETED Traffic

This is what I’m going to do… There are MANY different ways to generate targeted traffic for your website, dozens of great methods. What I’ll do is tackle one aspect of targeted traffic per blog post. I’ll reevaluate each method and see if I can add a different spin to what I already teach with Six Figure Boss.

We’ll Focus ON…

1. PPC (Pay Per Click)
Search engine traffic is the most targeted traffic you can get and while it takes some times to start ranking, PPC is the best way to go starting out. It’s how I generate huge amount of sales within minutes of going live. There seems to be some hesitance with going with PPC from talking with a few of your guys but I’ll try to clear things up and show you how with PPC you can dominate.

2. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
I LOVE search engine traffic; it’s awesome. It’s what I have primarily focused on the past 10-years of working online and it has served me VERY well. I’ve said this many times already but search engine traffic is VERY targeted and it’s where you’ll want to be in the long run. I’ll detail my strategies to get any website ranking quickly. This is FUN stuff!

3. Email Marketing
Capturing Leads is the MOST important thing you can do for your long term business health. The sooner you understand this the MORE money you’ll make. I’ll detail how I capture leads in my business and what I do with those leads to increase sales… you’re going to love this!

4. YouTube
I feel YouTube is the second most targeted traffic behind Google. I’ll show you how with YouTube you can increase your website traffic.

While I personally focus more on search engine traffic, trust that I’m not leaving YouTube behind.. rather I’m putting more effort into utilize it’s massive targeted traffic it can generate. YouTube is fun and EASY to use.. I’ll give you my tools to marketing with YouTube later.

5. Social Media
Social Media has changed everything; it’s another way to connect with your followers and trust that if you’re not part of Facebook, Twitter or Google+, you followers are leaving you behind for the competition that embraces and understands social media. While social media isn’t as targeted as other marketing strategies it’s a way to connect with your followers and keep them interested in what you have to offer.

6. Link Building
Yes, it’s part of SEO but I feel I’ll break this off on it’s own since it’s such a huge and important topic. I use a lot of SEO tools and what I think I’ll do is breakdown these tools down and review them for you. Tools that I use on a daily basis… this should be fun. I’ll also review social media tools as they are becoming more important.

7. Forum Marketing
A small strategy out of hundreds of different methods to generate targeted traffic. Where the primarily platform was Google; times have changed. Large niche forums and social media websites gather huge amounts of targeted traffic and if you know how to best harness this traffic you’ll be ahead of the game.

8. Joint Ventures (Plus other strategies)
While not a traffic generation strategy.. later I’ll focus on joint ventures and other strategies to improve your business. In ALL my businesses a joint venture was a CENTER of my success. Without forming a partnership with the right person I wouldn’t be here today doing what I’m doing. A Joint Venture brings together those with products and those with customers to form a business. It’s how MOST businesses are formed; do it alone or speed up the process with a joint venture.

I’ll cover these topics and more to help you move forward with your marketing efforts. While these topics are covered in Six Figure Boss in great detail; I’ll expand on them further for you here.
